Okay, I’m laughing at myself now. Actually shaking my head. At myself.

And now you know what my average Thursday morning is like.

😉

I’m a planner. I’m a dreamer. I’m an idea maker and creative. It’s just…the follow-through that seems to be a bit on the rocks as of late.

It’s completely my fault {duh}, but it cracks me up. At least I’m consistent. Right? Ahem…right…!?

For example, I saw these images in my que and immediately remembered that I forgot to post about our epic homemade Christmas and subsequently huge family gathering photos from this past holiday season. You know, cause it’s April. The last day of April. Honestly.

Even though that ship may have sailed, I still have these awesome images from a quick 7 minute session I pulled with these sweet individuals. Yes, we did two separate small families outside in the bitter cold {think :: bitting wind chill here!} of December in 7 minutes.

My cousin Dusty drove home from Tennessee with his two darling girls to attend family Christmas this year and his brother {again, also my cousin} Matthew drove up from Colorado with his family. Nearly all the cousins were together to celebrate; we played outside like we were children, hot tub time machined, partied into wee hours, went rollerskating, made homemade mac and cheese…it was truly a memorable couple of days.

All too soon, everyone had to get heading back to their states of livelihood and we simply couldn’t resist the snowy backdrop-a photo session had to happen. Dusty’s girls had never seen this much snow and being that they are awesome bada*&es {can kids be bada#$es? Can I even write that? Oh, it’s my blog. I can do what I want! BOOM!}, they shed their coats and rocked their minutes in the snowy sun. Funny thing about cold and kids-it makes them listen intently, cuddle intensely and laugh with abandon.

In short-it rocks.

Matthew’s wife, Laura, played piano at our wedding and is simply a beautiful person inside and out. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our family!! These three hail from Colorado so snow isn’t as ‘fancy’ as it was for their Tennessee counterparts, but it was still a wonderful opportunity to freeze time and capture some delicious baby giggles and grins…
