I used to write stories when I was a kid. Generally, these didn’t get too much past a few pages of very detailed character descriptions and a complete story line, but they still occupied considerable amount of my time. The main character was usually Paige (I used to love that name) and she had between seven and eleven siblings. Some characters would come and go, while others remained constant–like her three sisters; D.J., Stephanie and Michelle (creative genius, right?!?!). A house filled with pets, ridiculous sports talents…Paige was the perfect made up companion. Oh, and she always had at least one set of twins in her family.

As I kid, I thought being a twin was the coolest thing ever. I had a friend who used to fight like crazy with her twin sister (they actually threw bricks at each other once) and even twin fights seemed so much more fun than regular sibling arguments. I completely adored Jessica and Elizabeth in  Sweet Valley High and read the entire series a few times over when I was eleven. When my twin cousins were born, I was totally smitten with their incredibly different personalities and likenesses. Clones who look nothing alike. Amazing.

When Kelsey and Betsy contacted me about doing senior photos I, again, was totally smitten. We braved the cold and bitter winter wind and set out one Saturday afternoon to capture some likenesses and beautiful differences of these two fantastic ladies. (Don’t they have the most stunning blue eyes!?! Crazy beautiful…)
