What a beautiful weekend, eh?

Wretchedly hot, we spent the past four days in a non-AC camper with three awesome friends experiencing the world of swap meets, summer snowmobiling, RC car racing, grass drags, and freestyling at Sno Baron’s HayDays in North Branch. Lemmetellyou, freestyle bike, four-wheeler and snowmobile stunts are way more entertaining and oooo-ahhh worthy in person than they are on TV. And Playstation 2. I love taking in new experiences, people watching and seeing someone immersed in their element–it’s pretty cool to try on another person’s existence for a while. By the way, have you ever swap-meeted before {is that a real term? It is now.} This was the first one I had ever been to and it was massive. Like, so super huge it took us three days to walk through the whole thing. Between the five of us, we brought home some killer boots, a retro sled helmet and some wicked-cool specs {yep, that would be my purchase!}. I was a bit sad that we walked away from some good-condition vintage Schwinn’s only to come back and see that they had sold, but life goes on. I’m sure I will locate some at the next swap I attend…! Yet, as they say, all good things must come to an end. And after sweating more than I care to admit and having dirtier feet than I’ve ever had in my life {flips and a sandy-dirt swap meet will do that to a person}, I was ready to climb back into my life of a frigid cold house, puppy love, a full kitchen and a real-sized shower. Spoiled, I know.

😉

Back in the office on this fine Monday morning, I thought I’d share this sweet couple and their baby-love who should be making his/her entrance any day now! Personally, I get a little extra excited when couples don’t find out the sex of the baby {and when I don’t know any names…surprise me, people!}. Regardless, I hope that Abs and Andrew have an easy delivery and I can’t wait to photograph this little newborn…
