Rainy days are the best for this lady in terms of productivity. No need to be distracted by the garden, long dance-walks or mowing; it’s a wet one out there today, folks! Editing in a darkened room to the rippling of thunder and the chewy slobbering of a canine with a new found love for her rediscovered bone makes for a pretty awesome Thursday morning.
Waayyy back in February of this year, I attended an amazing all-women workshop led by Joy Prouty of Wildflowers Photography. You’ve seen her on Pinterest, this I am certain, and her blog is just amazing. Serious eye candy and her most recent post about her garden? Honestly. Check it out. Anywho, at this workshop, I had the privileged to meet nine ladies who were absolutely beautiful inside and out. We talked, we laughed, we cried and we made strong bonds within the confines of two amazingly short days. Fast forward to May when one such awesome lady, Darcy, contacted me about setting up a for-fun session with a friend of hers. Considering we only live roughly an hour away from each other {small world, eh!?}, I jumped at the chance to hang with Darcy and get our photo nerd on again.
And I’m so thrilled that everything worked out beautifully according to plan! Rain threatened our forecast then dissolved into a baby blue sky and glorious sunshine shortly after we began. Abbie was quietly stunning as a first-time-momma-to-be as we set out along a meadow of cherry blossoms and tall grasses.
