I think the biggest bonus of nieces and nephews is getting to watch them grow. Hold them in the hospitals as squirming little pink beings, watch them learn to smile and giggle, laugh as figure out the nuances of crawling and walking, and getting to watch them form and shape into little kids. Full of laughter, mischief, innocent and clear thoughts and takes on life, slugs and snails, sugar and spice…I love them all to pieces!
