It was already six weeks ago.
While we knew that day was going to be ‘the day’ {induction is a funny thing like that}, you seemed shy and far too comfortable to make your appearance a quick one. The sun shone brightly overhead as your momma tried one technique after another to ease the pain and coax you gently into this world. The delivery room was calm and happy; the scent of lavender floated gently from a diffuser in the corner while small bursts of laughter erupted several times an hour. You see, your momma and daddy were ready for you. They were not nervous or anxious, they were not in any rush. They were ready for you to do it your own way.
Lighthearted giggling and joking about Doritos commercials between contractions, momma breathed and pushed and smiled and laughed and breathed and pushed and…
…and then you finally arrived.
In the words of Nana….oh my stars! How precious are those photos! They make you smile and tear up all at the same time!
Love. Love. Love.
This is just priceless, Tricia you are an amazing soul, my beautiful grandsons and my perfect daughter and TJ. I love you all so very much.
I’ve looked at these 1000 times and I still can’t get enough. Everything about that day was perfect. Thank you so much for being there again I wouldn’t have it any other way
