Amazingly enough, I’ve been getting things done around ye ole homestead as of late. The herb garden is flourishing, the regular garden is growing and the plans are coming together for the raised bed that will soon grace our minimally landscaped lawn. Painting projects that have had a seemingly permanent home on my to-do list are being checked off faster than the paint has been drying…and I think I might even get in a spot of sewing this afternoon. I think it’s this beautiful weather that’s been pushing me to get in gear. How can you not want to romp in the grass and plunge your fingers into rich black earth when the sun is shining so brilliantly overhead?
I love summer.
{And now I’m singing In Summer in my head…I like today.}
I also love my clients. Seriously, you guys make my world go round and put an instant smile on my face. To be asked into so many homes and lives; to be honored with a glimpse behind the curtain and the challenge of photographing the relationships found there is sometimes overwhelming and makes my heart want to burst. I know I’m lucky. I know it down to the depths of my inner being. This job I have is so much more than that and I have the wonderful people who hire me, who take a chance with me, who trust me to thank.
Truly, I am blessed.
