Somehow this gem of a day got a little lost in the blog que…better late than never; I LOVED this day!!!

This day.

Be still, my beating heart.

This beautiful, beautiful blue sky day.

She calmly walked around the farm, tending to finishing touches, making sure things were just so. Gazing dreamily into the distance. He held her hand and kissed her cheek, a smile never more than a moment away from his lips. She went inside to dress and transform into a bride as he patiently waited in a grove of evergreens. She met him and he turned to see her as his bride, his wife, his partner and the melted into one another.

The scent of lavender floated over the grounds and the mood was light and joyful. Bright coral and turquoise dotted the country landscape as they recited their vows to one another.  Planting their unity tree, sealing it all with a dip and a kiss…showers of lavender as they laughing walked down the aisle as husband and wife.

Then the rains came. Fast and hard, the drops flew from the sky. The guests raced to move the tables, chairs and decorations into the shed only to continue the celebration in gusto. The band was amazing…the laughter contagious, the food delicious, the light stunning…the memories unforgettable.
