How about a week of love? A week of sharing engagement and wedding images of couples in who are head over heels for each other and all up in it…are you ready for some sum’sum? Oooo, love. The most favorite of all the favorite things. Love is like oxygen. Love is a many-splendored thing, love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love!

Anywho, when I first started talking with Cassidy and Josh about their engagement session, they confessed that they always felt awkward in front of a camera and would be much more comfortable if we fast-forwarded through the traditional mushy stuff and, in turn, played around a bit and made things fun.

Different, laid back, personalized and fun you say? Well…I don’t always get clients who share their ideas with me, but when I do, I prefer awesome ones like this.

But let’s go back to how awkward and shy these two are, if only for a moment. Look at how he doesn’t know how to express his joy when he’s around her. Uncomfortable. And her solid stone face as soon as the camera is focused on them. They barely smiled. We hardly laughed. Very much American Gothic, wouldn’t you agree? However to get these two to loosen up and love on each other…what an enigma…It was miserable.
