Mr. Nick and I have been joking all week about the supposed ‘snow event’ we were allegedly getting piled with last night. It’s not that I think weather forecasters are, um, not always the most accurate, but honestly. What would be the luck that we get our first real snowstorm of the year and we’re outta here? I love snowstorms. I want to be stuck and bundled and just enjoy the flurries from the safety of my home. Or my parents. Either. Or. Plus, since my ridiculous accident this winter, I became a total pansy about driving with ice and snow. So lame.

Anywho, The Weatherman was correct and I woke up to a beautiful wonderland of fluffy white deliciousness. I think we’re at about 5 inches and climbing…my Uncle is snowed in at the airport Kansas City, the in-laws are stuck in Colorado, a friend even reported snow in Hawaii…and we’re taking off for our road trip. Ha. Guess the Mr. will be taking the first leg of the driving…? Such is our life, eh?!

I’ll post a few photos and the like as I spoiled myself this week and picked up a new iPad to be able to cough work cough just a bit while we’re traveling amidst mountains and deserts. However, I will not be on my email AT ALL {yay!!!} and very minimally on Facebook. Hey, it’s a vacation, right?!

My favorite part about the trips we’ve taken is the anticipation. Oooo, where are we going? What will we eat? What adventure will we come across? Did I not pack enough pairs of shoes? I absolutely love it!!! However, usually about two days before the trip is over, I start getting back to MN mode and getting excited about getting back to the routine. Should I check my postal mail or email first? How many phone calls will I try super hard to return? {Still hate phone calls. Blerg.} Who is first to edit, package, prepare orders…?! Yay, vacations are definitely good for the soul!!!

Upon returning home, I’ll be meeting up with this little man for his 3-month session of the Sweet Baby Program!! Greyson was awesome to work with at a mere 9 days old and I’m chomping at the bit to get my other-peoples-babies fix. What a little buckwheat {haha!!}. Having a few fabulous sessions planned for our return will make coming home just that much more sweet.
