There’s a special sort of relationship that one has with their grandparents. Less of rule following and more of {innocent} rule breaking. More of loving and playing than of doing chores and homework. More of laughing and talking and slowing down than of technology and tv time. It’s an unusual type of bond forged not out of necessity, but out of compassion and love.

So, one quite and warm summer afternoon Jerry and Jennifer stole away some time to just be with their grandsons. To soak in their childhood and to pause and remember this season. They read books, gave kisses and snuggles, laughed and tickled. They sat, hand in hand, watching them be the little boys of summer, capturing these few precious moments before they grow up in the blink of an eye.
