Dotted with thick, white clouds the sun burned hot and bright. A slight breeze rustled the leaves and eased the temperature albeit ever so slightly. A storm looked to be rolling in on the horizon while inside the tiny cottage the bride smiled and laughed without abandon as her family dotingly helped her dress, gave her hugs, filled her wineglass and wiped tears of joy from their beaming faces.
He took a deep breath and a slow, steady smile crept across his lips. His back turned to her, she appeared in the distance through the trees. Dressed in white, hair swept back in braids and flowers, happiness dancing in her eyes, she walked closer to him. A squeeze of the arm and he turned to see his wife on their wedding day for the first time.
