Giving myself plenty of time to arrive at the Farm, I headed out into the day early. I greeted the bright blue sky and looming storm clouds with a smile–this day was going to be amazing, regardless of the weather. Halfway to the barn, my phone rang. The car keys were locked inside of the matron-of-honor’s vehicle, leaving the bride, two bridesmaids and personal attendant stranded off-site. I rerouted to rescue the stranded damsels in distress, chuckling to myself. This would be the start to Sam & Adam’s wedding day.

😉

The sun shone brightly as we arrived at the beautiful Red Barn Farm. With last minute details needing to be tended to, Sam and her ladies jumped right into the mix. Signs and decorations needed to be remade and reset as the storm the night before carried away the hard work from yesterday. People got right to it; joking and laughing lightheartedly as the morning progressed into early afternoon. She was agitated and excited; her bright brown eyes on the edge of laughter and craziness. {Which, if you know Sam, is completely normal.} Quietly, with the help of her best friend and her mother, she changed into her wedding dress and the atmosphere in the barn changed from that of a hurried, necessary, scattered chaos to a bliss-filled, love-overflowing, enchanted happiness. It was finally happening.

{Sam is notorious for kicking off her shoes and going barefoot, so she skipped the middle and went right to being barefoot all day. Love. It.}

{Wedding party cheer right after the ceremony? Heck, yes!}

{The speeches were second to none–the dads even busted out a fantastic duo of I’ve got you, Babe. Classic.}

{After dusk, the couple and their guests lit wish lanterns and watched them disappear into the darkness. Perfect end to a beautiful day.}
