For a while there, I was doing a pretty stellar job at posting a few times a week. And then, my summer took off. We got water in our basement, a new baby niece was born, back-to-back weekend trips with family, photographing weddings on most other weekends and editing during the week…this poor blog fell a bit by the wayside. I can’t wait until the day I’m all caught up on my work so that I can actually work on new projects, more exciting blog posts and just have a bit more fun with my work with the absence of this go-go-go mentality that I’ve unfortunately affixed to myself on a Monday-Thursday basis {Fridays are wedding prep and laundry day. Yes, we need a full day for laundry. What can I say, the Mr. love his socks!}

Anywho, I believe there’s a fabulously glowing light at the end of the tunnel and I have been enjoying my work as of late, don’t read me wrong. I’m just very much looking forward to not working under pressure. {Din, din, din, din-ne-nen-din, ting…any day that reminds me of Queen is going to be a good day}.

Anywho, a little bit ago I got to hang out with little man Alex. After watching him grow during his Sweet Baby Session a year ago, it was such a pleasure to hang out with him for a morning and capture the essence that is his two-year-old self. Not to mention we got to play at the best park area I’ve experienced in an outdoor park at Sibley Park in Mankato. After wandering around the garden area, John Deere in tow, we headed over to the petting zoo which was more than complete with a goldfish pond, lots of animals, and a farm-inspired play set. Plus, for any of you multitasking mommas out there, they also have a workout area within 20 feet so you can work out while watching your children play. All outside. With no batteries, power cords or television distractions. Rockin’ cool.

Without further babbling, I give you Mr. Alex John :: 2 years!!
