Close your eyes for a moment…okay, well, read the paragraph below then close your eyes. Cheeky this morning, aren’t we?
😉
Picture the members of your family. Vizualize your parents, your siblings, your spouse, your children, your pets and any combination within. Once you have your family group, think about what makes your family your family. More specifically, what are the ideas, the dreams, the moments between that really bond the people you’re concentrating so hard on? What immediate memories or thoughts pop up?
<open your eyes>
Is it a love for movie nights and wearing footie pajamas at all waking hours? Is it giggling together while you walk to your local ice cream shop for treats after dinner? Reading storybooks at bedtime? Saturday breakfasts in bed? A ridiculous affinity for mini golf? Laughing and loud? Quiet and peaceful?
What makes your family tick?
Now take those thoughts, write them down and stare at them hard. These are the moments that make your family. So why wouldn’t you want your family photography session to revolve around them?
In the previous post, you could see that Kate and Charlie rocked at capitalizing on their sons’ adoration of superhero costumes. This particular post boasts not only super cute kiddos who I have also had the huge honor of photographing for the past few years, but also personal touches about what is going on in their lives right now. Daddy teaching Emma how to shoot a bow. Little Blake’s obsession with trains and ‘choo-choo’ noises. Mom’s absolute and unwavering love for her kiddos…because these are the moments that are to be treasured. The fleeting moments of childhood. The bond between parents and children. The real-life love of a family.
