The warmth and sunshine from the previous days had faded and left a whirling crisp fall breeze and clouds in its place. In a room off of the church annex she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, touching up her lipstick, smiling to a bridesmaid. The lack of sunshine outside did nothing to dwindle any spirits as this was a day she had long awaited. Slowly, but ever so steady, she glided down the hallway and out the door to meet her groom for the first time. Her feet seemed to barely touch the ground and the smile could not be taken from her lips. The breeze danced with her veil while she made her way to him and as he turned to see her, the first time as his wife in her wedding gown, he gasped and reached out to hold her.
Two became one; it was finally time.
