To say last year was awesome…is awesome. I had some of the most fun, laid-back couples paired with beautiful weddings complete with fabulous details and an abundance of love. Yes, 2011’s weddings treated me very, very well and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to wrap up my 2011 season mid-December with Kate and Aaron.

The winter in Minnesota has been…tricky…this year. At best. On the morning of December 10, a minimal amount of snow blanketed the ground as an unforgiving frigid wind pierced though layers of wool coats and leather mittens as people ran from their cars to the church doors, looking for warmth and protection from the nearly unbearable wind. As it had been unseasonably warm this year, even the truest Minnesotan had yet to garner their thick winter skin. From inside looking out, the sun was shinning brightly in a crisp blue sky and it looked deceivingly warm. To Kate and Aaron…the weather was over there, off the radar, as if only the two of them existed in this day they had waited so long for. As he caught his first look at her, his expression of pure adoration, love and amazement at his wife-to-be spoke volumes for the beginning of their new life together.

Married!!!
{the first kiss sequence cracks me up–they are too funny!!}

This brand of Champagne comes from Aaron’s family’s vineyards–how fun to have that incorporated in their wedding day?

What a fabulously stunning day!!! Thank you so much, Aaron and Kate, for allowing me the honor of being your photographer. Through the love of your parents, the hilarious support and friendship of your wedding party and the encouragement and warmth from your additional friends and extended families, your wedding day was one of the finest examples of what a wedding day should be. You two have such an amazing connection that I have no doubt you’ll be happy for many, many years to come!
Congrats to you both, ♥ trish.
