If ever there was a more perfect day, I have not seen it.

For those who have not had the very distinct pleasure of meeting my sister, let me introduce you. Yes, she has been on my blog before, but not like this. I have photographed her as a friend, as a ‘willing’ model, as a pregnant woman and as a mother. Now, I get to depict her as a wife.

My sister is a woman of passion. When she’s excited or happy, her green eye open wide, her face flushes and her smile and laugh warm the deepest crevasses of even the hardest hearts. On the flip side, you best beware when that temper, oh that famous Little temper, flows. If you’re lucky enough to be a witness (and not a victim) of this temper, it’s absolutely amazing. The amount of passion and emotion that packs into this tiny little petite blond package is beyond words. I love it, I hate it, it freaks me out and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Growing up, I have to admit, we were not very close. Being that she’s five years my junior, it wasn’t necessarily the ‘coolest’ thing to have kid-sister hanging on your hip. I bestowed upon her classic nicknames such as Cletus and Freakface. She chased me with a butcher knife. However, in recent years, we’ve grown closer. Much closer. Perhaps by circumstance perhaps not. She’s one of the top five people I call on a regular basis and I look forward to our random lunch rendezvous and double dates. I enjoy pointless conversations with her and getting into <light> arguments. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Her wedding day was beyond amazing for me and I still feel so honored to take part in such an occasion. Surprisingly, I didn’t cry (I think the brother took care of that enough for the entire family and then some. Sally.), but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t any less touched by the exchanging of the vows, the stolen glances, the gentle touches and the solemn promises that occurred the day. It’s beyond words how happy and proud I am of my baby sister; for everything she’s been, for everything she is and for everything she will be.
