The turkey is gone. Cranberries are no more. Don’t even mention the pumpkin pie. The mashed potatoes and squash are stuffed into a scrapped tin and sit, covered, hidden in the fridge behind the remains of the punch, to the left of the beef sticks. The green pants have once again made their Thanksgiving eve debut. All and all, Thanksgiving ranks right up there with pretty much every other occasion that brings family together. Our families rock, this is no secret.

😉

After a restful 3-hour slumber, I clocked in a straight 11-1/2 hours of crazy holiday shopping with my favorite sister. Starting at 1:00am, we threw all regard and sleepy notions to the ever present {and oh so freaking bitter} wind and set out to cross items off our seemingly endless lists. Never-minding that our family does homemade Christmas now; I stuffed our cart with hilarious schnauzer flannel sheets {Mr. Nick is going to be so pleased, I’m certain}, a walking foot for my ancient Viking Husqvarna machine, some new digs for our super-spoiled pup pup, supremely-discounted Fiesta Ware, another killer pair of shoes one fantastic necessity after another. I can hardly wait to unpack my Blaze and relive the glory of our triumphantly fortunate shopping experience. Bring on the crafting!!!

And speaking of pup pups and other things that rock, how about a little love fest to get the weekend-after-Thanksgiving started out right!? Megan and Tom closed on a house and got engaged all all at the same time {seriously!?} and these two certainly deserve everylittlegoodthing that comes their way. Sophie tagged along for the start of the session, then we headed out to see what we could find…love, in all it’s triumphant glory.
