This session may be a blast from the past, but hey. Aren’t all of these that I’ve been posting lately?! Trying to keep up with the biz and studio building and covid and gardening and life and friends and family and being paralyzed by all the decisions and should-dos and to-dos and then just not doing anything…I have no idea what I’m doing with my time.

In other news, I started The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel last night on Netflix. Oh, wait. That’s what I’ve been doing with my time.

Is anyone even out there in blog land anymore? I’ve loved writing and sharing and posting on this platform and was so crushed when BluDomain crashed and lost my entire portfolio from the birth of this blog in June of 2010 until -as odd timing would have it- June of 2018. All the words were saved, the images…not so much. Page after page of text followed by stark whiteness. Ish. Kills me a little bit inside every time I think about it. Which is alot. Mourning the loss of all that time, all those precious sessions, moments and travels and life. It’s been crippling for me to crawl back up here and get stuff going again, knowing allllllll these previous posts void of imagery. Do I sludge through all twenty-soon-to-be-twenty-one external hard drives in search of the images to restore? Do I delete-kit all of the defunct posts and continue on from scratch? Ugh. Let the paralysis commence. Thoughts?! Truly-tell me where to go from here.

I digress. Let’s return to the opening scene of this post.

This family of three claimed to be a bit camera shy and wanted a location that was away from the public eye…so we met out at my parents’ house and had a glorious day in the fall sunshine. I love that my parent’s built this fabulous landscape, just for me. 😉 It’s so beautiful out there and every time utilize the grounds for a session, it’s something different. Something new.
