To say this session was a reality check for me is an understatement. Ryan was my very first babysitting charge in diapers {in fact, I remember thinking very long about whether or not I wanted to babysit for him and his brother because I dispised diapers that much. Some things never change.}

🙂

However, I took the job and I’m so happy I did! Ryan and Travis were so much fun to babysit; they were always so sweet and got along so well. And they had awesome toys. And fantastic imaginations. One time, after playing couch tower for who knows how long, they actually asked if they could go to bed. Ummm…okay?!

So time went by and a couple years ago I did Travis’ senior photos {craziness!} and when I got the email from Ryan earlier this fall, I about spilled my coffee. How fast time does travel.

When we met for his session, it was obvious that not much had changed. Ryan and Travis still get along sublimely well, they are both so very sweet {and so very teasing of one another!}, and their parents are just as awesome as ever. Ryan cajoled everyone into a few family photographs as well and we had a stellar afternoon session of catching up, laughing, joking and halting time for but a few treasured moments.

{Yay, family!!!}

{Oh, what’s ‘couch tower’ you ask? It’s pretty much where you take all the couch cushions and pillows from their usual places and pile them in the center of the living room. Then you run around the house and dive into said pile. Jump off the couch into it, flips from the ground…it’s safer and way more fun than you’d like! Ranks right up there with The Rock.}
