Last night, I had the amazing opportunity to photograph an elopement. I’ll be writing much more about that in a post accompanied by their photos; but I must say, it was perfect. A perfect night, a perfect couple and perfect timing for my soul. Lately, I’ve been overcome with a feeling of, perhaps, distaste with human behavior {hang with me here}. Irresponsible, wasteful, mean-spirited, gimme-gimme-gimme, me-me-me, min-mine-mine individuals who worm their way into your thoughts and have this impending ability to be a dreadfully black cloud in an otherwise bright blue sky.

And then I get to witness a wedding like last night and my faith in humankind was restored. Loving glances, heartfelt vows, hilarious and touching toasts…small intimate moments that truly represent the best in people. In searching my brain this morning for thoughts and images on what to post today, I immediately thought back to one of my August weddings where there was so much love, family-values, good vibes, smiles and laughter; like all weddings should.

And all seems right in the world again.
