Soon, my desk (which doubles as a kitchen table tucked in a dark corner of the basement) will be covered with external harddrives. This being the penence one pays for the luxary of being able to travel with ones computer. This ‘luxary’ is nice, but…is getting old. Like…very old. It wasn’t so bad with Betty (my Canon 40D) but when I upgraded to Mark (Canon 5D Mark II) I also upgraded to ginormous file sizes. Translation: I fill my laptop about every two weeks.

I was working, working, working away, editing photos to my hearts content today. After all, it is labor day, right? A day of labor? Labor. Day. So, that was my plan-play Saturday and Sunday, work all day Monday. And it would have been a perfect plan. Full pot of coffee. Re-runs on the television. Forecast was calling for rain. Flawless plan. Except, yet again, I have filled my laptop. This would usually not be that huge of an issue, except that I have also nearly filled my three externals and have no room for a full file of new info.

Ugh.

Too technical for you? Me, too.

So…this post was going to be a full one, but since I cannot save any new info it turned into a sneak peek.

Which is also fun.

I promise.

These kids were super fun to shoot a couple weeks ago in Lake City. Sneak peek only–check back later for the full family session!!! 🙂
