It hits me without any warning.

Which, when you think about it, is really quite rude.

A long plane ride, a car trip, a snowy/rainy evening {finally!}, or maybe even an extra seven minutes of unscheduled time {wait…say, what!?} and I find myself absentmindedly rumaging for the nearest book and riffling through a couple pages. Annnddddd…by a couple pages…I mean, maybe closer to a chapter. Or four. {Can I blame that on my mom? Is this a situation for blame?}. But, c’mon, a good book is a good book, right?

One night, long ago in the glory days when I was a freshman in college, I started a book with the thought that it might help me dose off after a long day of watching cable studying. 😉 Some time later, as I turned the last page and set the completed book down, I noticed something strange though the window. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was the sunrise.

Honestly.

I read all night with no breaks and no concept of time, whatsoever.

What kind of a nerd am I?

Fast forward a few <cough> years aaahhhhhhnnnnndddddd….thhhheeennnnnnnn…

After over thirteen hours in front of a computer screen yesterday, I thought it’d be a great idea to take off the specs and rest the eyes by digging into a few pages of The Mockingjay, the final book in The Hunger Game series before hitting the sheets for a seriously needed nights rest. Ha.

And then it was 4:02 a.m.

Good grief.

{Side note: the series is awesome and I’ve caught myself more than a handful of times today wondering about the different characters. Oye.}

In other news, I have gotten my computer back and have been feverishly working to get caught up again. Would help if the screen wouldn’t freeze up every forty seven seconds, but that’s neither here nor there. That’s just somewhere else entirely. I do not want to go to there {30 Rock, anyone? Anyone?}

A sweet little love, right?!
